Black Adam, played by Dwayne “The Rock,” will soon enter the DC Universe, and his strength could match that of Superman and Shazam. Johnson’s debut as Black Adam in the DC Universe has been a long time coming, and the picture is finally due to hit theatres on July 29, 2022. Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan also star as members of the Justice Society of America in Black Adam.

Despite the fact that he’s never been adapted into a live-action film, Black Adam is widely regarded as one of DC’s most powerful characters. It’s no simple undertaking to bring such an iconic and powerful antihero to the big screen, but Johnson is the ideal choice to play Black Adam in the DCEU.

Superman vs. Black Adams

Superman is the greatest power in the DC universe. He is the standard by which all other heroes and villains are judge. Superman and Black Adam are comparable in terms of speed and physical strength. When it comes to comparing Superman’s power to Black Adam’s, different DC storylines and versions of the characters have produced varying results, but they’ve generally been fairly evenly matched, and they likely would be in the DCEU as well.

It may be a stretch to claim that The Rock’s Black Adam is objectively superior to the DCEU’s Superman, especially before his first picture is released, but it appears to be a close match.

Shazam vs. Black Adam

Shazam, like Black Adam, has been represented in the DC comics as having powers equivalent to Superman, and while the two haven’t met in the DCEU, the same principle certainly applies. The Rock’s Black Adam and Levi’s Shazam are nearly a mirror image of each other, as both characters’ abilities come from the same source and manifest in remarkably similar ways.

hile a showdown with Henry Cavill’s Superman appears improbable at this time, Shazam and The Rock’s Black Adam will hopefully meet in real life at some point in the future.
