Madhur Bhandarkar Wraps Up Shooting Of His Upcoming Venture’ India Lockdown’

Padma Shri winner Madhur Bhandarkar has now wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming venture titled, India Lockdown. The movie has been filmed in various parts across Mumbai and Pune in a start-to-finish schedule. Starring Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, Prakash Belawadi, Aahana Kumra and Shweta Basu Prasad in pivotal roles, the forthcoming film is bankrolled under the banners of Bhandarkar Entertainment in collaboration with PJ Motion pictures. Bhandarkar on completion of the shooting process said, “We have finished shooting for the film. With such amazing actors by my side, it has been a memorable experience. The post-production will start soon”. On the other hand, producer Pranav Jain added, “I was pleasantly surprised to see the shoot getting over in a perfectly planned manner. Working with Madhur, his team and the whole cast has been a wonderful experience.”

Reportedly, the plot of the film chronicles the true events and the universal impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on society regardless of vivid strata and demographics. The production house PJ Motion picture on Monday, March 8, also took to their Twitter space to announce the completion of the project. In the video shared, the entire crew of India Lockdown screams loudly as the camera zooms out.

While sharing the picture, the production house said, “And it’s a wraaapp. What an experience to have worked with the brilliant Mahesh Bhandarkar and such a talented cast of India Lockdown. On the professional front, India Lockdown will mark filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s comeback almost after three years. His last directorial venture titled Indu Sarkar hit the cinema houses back in 2017. The director is well-known for his critically acclaimed projects including Page 3, Chandni Bar, Fashion and more. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the director to unveil the teaser of his forthcoming film.
