Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are slated to star in a new picture together, but it’s not a superhero or comic book adaptation. Ghosted is billed as an adventure movie project starring Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. It’s being created exclusively for Apple.
Deadpool Creators are all set once again
Ghosted is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who also directed Rocketman. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the creators of Deadpool, are scripting and producing the film. The plot is undisclosed, but it is billed as a “high-concept romantic action-adventure in the style of Romancing the Stone, the 1984 adventure film starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Johansson has filed a lawsuit against Disney for releasing Black Widow in theatres and on Disney+. Since the lawsuit was made public, she’s signed on to two more projects: Ghosted and the upcoming Wes Anderson film. Evans previously collaborated with Apple on the drama Defending Jacob. If Johansson (Black Widow) and Evans (Captain America) return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is uncertain.

Chris Evans upcoming project
Chris Evans’ famous portrayal of Captain America made him one of the most known faces in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the better part of a decade, culminating in a fitting conclusion for the legendary comic book hero in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Evans has continued to provide standout performances in films like Knives Out and the Apple TV+ short series Defending Jacob, despite the fact that his superhero days are over (for the most part).
But, what does the future hold for the man previously known as Captain America, and where will we see him next? Chris Evans has a lot on his plate for the next few years and beyond, which should come as no surprise. Evans’ post-Marvel relaxation period appears to be over and done, with a disaster comedy directed by Adam McKay and fifth collaboration with the Russo brothers both coming to Netflix, as well as the Buzz Lightyear origin story and more.
