Ajay Devgn has halted the shooting of his upcoming movie Mayday keeping in mind the rise in Covid-19 cases.

Actor-Director Ajay Devgn has decided to put on hold the last shooting schedule of his upcoming film Mayday due to the increasing cases of Covid -19. He has taken this step keeping in mind the safety of his crew and actors who are involved in the film.

Mayday’s shooting started in December of last year in Hyderabad when the pandemic was not at its height and most of the shootings of films and shows had started again. The major portions of the movie have been successfully shot but keeping in mind the safety guidelines and the rising cases, Ajay Devgn had halted the last shooting schedule of the film. The last schedule was supposed to be shot in Doha where the cast and crew would stay for 3 days and complete the shooting.

The story of Mayday revolves around an incident that happened in 2015 when a Doha-Kochi flight landed in one of South India’s airports as it was facing difficulty due to poor visibility. The movie features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Angira Dhar. While Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet Singh will play the role of pilots in the movie, we are yet to find out what role the legendary Amitabh Bachchan will be essaying in the upcoming drama. The theatrical release of the film has been announced as April 29, 2022.

Ajay Devgn has many projects lined up for release in the near future. He will be seen as Coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the upcoming sports movie Maidaan and he will also be seen as Squadron leader Vijay Karnik in Bhuj: The Pride of India.
