RSS Vs Taliban: Javed Akhtar Arrested For Being Disrespectful Towards Hindu Culture

Lyricist Javed Akhtar has recently compared RSS with the Taliban which irked the Hindu’s and an FIR was filed against Javed. He has now been arrested for the comparison and hurting religious sentiments according to reports.
The Shiv Sena shared that comparing the RSS with the Taliban is not correct. And his comments while comparing were also disrespectful towards the Hindu culture. The RSS is the ideological parent of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
A lawyer based in Mumbai named Santosh Dube had also sent a legal notice to the lyricist for his comments about the RSS and also asked him to sought forgiveness for it. These comments were made in an interview with a leading news channel by Javed Akhtar. An FIR was also filed by the same lawyer in Mulund police station.
The blonde police station said that the FIR has been filed under Indian Indian penal section 500 which is for punishment for defamation and 499 for defamation.
A quick round-up of the story includes that Javed Akhtar had compared RSS and Taliban stating that the Taliban was barbaric and the ones supporting RSS were all the same. He was seen speaking about the rising hate crimes against Muslims in India. Javed Akhtar had also said in a warning tone that these were a dress rehearsal for becoming a full-fledged Taliban.
Shiv Sena said that most people in our country are secular and will not accept the Taliban’s ideology. India is proudly secular despite Hindus being the majority community.
BJP MLA Ram Kadam on Saturday said that they will not allow screening of films involving Akhtar till he apologizes for making such a comparison.
Former Energy Minister of the state, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, said that Akhtar should be sent to Afghanistan. BJP MP from North East Mumbai constituency, Manoj Kotak, described the comparison as a “fictional script”.
