1) Yashodha for her loved ones
The world knows her as Samantha, but her friends and family have a special name to call her by. For her loved ones, Samantha Akkineni is called Yashodha. Yashodha happens to be her nickname, isn’t that unexpected?
2) Overcoming diabetes
Samantha is a fitness icon for most of us, and not just because she is consistent with her workouts and Yoga routines, In 2018, the A Aaa actress managed to put her Type 2 diabetes into remission and come off insulin, which is certainly not a small achievement.

Samantha is a true-blue South Indian, and her background says it all. Her mother is a Malayali, while her father is Telugu. She was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, and can fluently speak Tamil.

Samantha has a degree in Commerce, and she was a topper throughout her school years. Moreover, she took up a career in modeling while she was in college, and balanced both these areas brilliantly!

Samantha’s social media presence is as high as her fan-following in real life. She has over 16.5 million followers on Instagram as of now, but when the Brahmotsavam actress crossed the milestone of 10 million followers, she donated to 10 NGOs to mark the milestone.
