Sathya Enna Penkutty: Sathya didn’t deserve the ending she got; here’s why we think so

We all loved watching Sathya in Sathya Enna Penkutty. Relatable at all times, and with a heart of gold, she always found a way to stay connected with the viewers. However, recent escalations in the show came as a surprise, and as understandable as they were, some of Sathya’s decisions have made her take a quick U-turn in life. Having come to attend Sudhi and Divya’s marriage, Sathya was dragged into an unwanted fight by Abhijit, who stabbed and killed Divya. Avenging her beloved sister’s death, Sathya killed Abhijith and turned herself in to the police.

Abhijith was a self-destructive character by all means. We all knew his destruction was coming for the longest time now but never imagined that he would die off Sathya’s hands. Although he was manipulative and cruel, nobody really thought that he would end up killing Divya.  From his evil plans that destroyed her married life to seeing her sister being killed, Sathya had all the reasons for her action too. However, Sathya didn’t deserve her life to end up where it did now.

Sathya started off her life well. She had all the right characteristics to become successful. She was strong, independent and her biggest strength was to be able to care for others. Sathya didn’t have the best of starts to her married life as it all happened as part of a mishap. Right from then, she carried guilt in her mind for marrying someone her sister desired. Having believed to have lost her sister, she lived on and tried to settle in with Sudhi.

Although there were some moments of happiness in her life, it was mostly filled with tears and heartbreaks. From being pushed aside by Sudhi to being ill-treated by her own family members, she always had it tough. The only people she had rooting for her were her friends, whom she looked after well. Sathya woke up stronger each day having to deal with some issue or the other. She kept doing this, until one day Divya came back into her life and Sudhi completely discarded her.

Even then, Sathya didn’t complain. Her heart of gold shined even brighter as she accepted it all as her fate. She submitted to her guilt and let Sudhi and Divya get life together. Having fought evil plans by Abhijit and Sujitha on a daily basis, she should have known better. However, she let it all happen and even supported Divya and Sudhi’s marriage. We saw her reach the marriage function to help the duo with a smiling face. Having done all this and dealt with so much, she deserved some happiness. Instead, things got worse and she became a murderer.

Now, she will spend the rest of her life in jail, counting away her days. It is sure that the sour memories from her tough life will haunt her during the time. Sathya couldn’t have gotten a worse ending to her life and she didn’t deserve even a bit of it.
