Silence is Broken! Kareena Kapoor Khan Opens Up About Hiked Fees To Play Sita

The topic which had been quite a talk of the tinsel town for a while now is Kareena Kapoor Khan over charging to play the character of Sita for the epic Indian mythological tale Ramayana. The big budget project will require Kareena to be trained for atleast 8-10 months to understand Sita, her beauty, character, nature and get into her skin. Playing real life characters are always a challenge as they’re not imaginary and people always have a pre-conceived notion of the same and the pressure to live up to that expectation is immense.

This news even didn’t get digested to some of the religious views saying Kareena isn’t a Hindu and she shouldn’t play such a pure character. Kareena had to face alot of slamming from the religious point of view as well.

After all the slamming Kareena gave a reply to all the trolls and shared,”A few years ago nobody would talk about a man or woman actually getting equal pay in a movie. It’s not about demanding, it is about being respectful towards women”. And she feels that things are changing. Taapsee Pannu and Priyami stood out in support of Kareena when the news of her fees hike came out. Kareena has charged Rs. 12 Crores for the character.

With such a heavy time for preparing Sita’s character, Kareena Kapoor is sure to floor the audience with her performance. The controversy hasn’t taken a cool air ever since it started and with this statement, public reaction is awaited. Hopefully all of it will subside.
