Sonu Sood Gets Into Trouble As BMC Requests Mumbai Police To Book Him Over ‘Illegal Construction’ In Juhu; Watch

While many of us were managing to survive during the nationwide lockdown triggered by the pandemic, a section of humankind came forward to extend the hand of help to the needy. Among many others, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, too, came forward in the hour of need. From arranging buses for the migrant workers to giving employment; he left no stone unturned to prove that humanity is still alive. But, it seems like his acts of kindness are all set to fire back at him as recently a complaint has been filed against the actor by BMC. Yes! you read it right, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has filed a police complaint against actor Sonu Sood and his wife, Sonali Sood.

As per the buzz, the BMC has filed a police complaint against the actor for allegedly carrying out “change of user” by converting his residential building, located at Juhu, into a commercial establishment. Reportedly, the complaint was filed by the junior engineer of K-west ward (Andheri) on January 4 at Juhu police station. In his complaint, he sought an FIR against the actor and his wife under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act (MRTP), 1966, for carrying out illegal construction in contravention of approved plans. It is also said that under the provision of subsection (7) of Section 3 under the MRTP Act, 1966, the civic body has initiated the process of registering an FIR against the actor and his wife. On the other hand, reacting to the complaint, the Simmba actor has said that he would appeal in Bombay High Court against the move.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ram Kadam also reacted to the complaint. In his response, he claimed that the BMC and the Maharashtra government were targeting Sood. “Another vendetta politics by Shiv Sena?” This complaint against social worker and actor Sonu Sood seems politically motivated. We saw how this Maharashtra Government attacked and targeted Kangana Ranaut. Shiv Sena was always against Sonu Sood’s humanitarian work,” he tweeted.
