Talaash, directed by Reema Kagti, starred Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Rani Mukerji in crucial parts, all of whom gave genuine performances to convey a simple but deep message: whether we define ourselves as believers or not, the answer always resides inside us. ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’ was one of the most successful films of 2012 at the box office. Aside from the money, the film also succeeded in emotionally affecting its audience. After all, it’s been 9 years since the picture was released, and we’re still talking about it. And, in order to assess how well any kind of art has aged over time, we must consider how it has changed through time.
As Talaash celebrates its ninth anniversary, we decided to take a look back to a time when the film was just a month away from entering screens and Aamir was busy promoting it. During promotions, Aamir Khan was questioned about his ‘Talaash’, or rather, his search in life while he was in a conversation with a renowned magazine. Aamir Khan did not take the philosophical approach to this. The perfectionist, on the other hand, had a precise response. Aamir stated that he is looking for meaningful jobs and honest individuals. We hope Aamir’s search for decent work and honest people has paid off nine years later.
Talaash is a psychological crime drama that tells the narrative of Senior Police Inspector Surjan ‘Suri’ Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan), who comes to terms with his own dark history while investigating a high-profile tragedy.

His encounter with Rosie (Kareena Kapoor Khan), an escort, forces him to confront his own ideas while also attempting to rescue his deteriorating marriage with Roshni (Rani Mukerji), who is mourning the loss of their 8-year-old son Karan. The film also stars Rajkummar Rao and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar wrote Talaash, which was produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions.
