2) Rekka

The story follows Shiva played by Vijay Sethupathi, who helps lovers to elope and get married. During one such incident, Shiva interferes and stops the marriage of David, a gangster. As a result, David returns to seek revenge and forces Shiva to risk his life and kidnap a politician’s daughter. This movie has everything a ‘masala’ action flick needs!

3) Oh My Kadavule

Vijay Sethupathi’s swagger and suave will have you in awe of him at any given time and this movie promises the coolest Vijay Sethupathi that you have ever seen. His scenes will have you laughing and wishing you could meet the ‘Kadavule’ Vijay too. You can’t help but have a huge crush on him!

4) Junga

Vijay Sethupathi has always reiterated that he wouldn’t ever do a film if he doesn’t believe in the script and Junga is the perfect example of that. The actor went experimental with his role here, which is why you have to give it a watch. Junga follows the story of a ‘miser don’  Junga, played by Vijay Sethupathi. Being a don, Junga’s biggest task is to get back his lost family wealth.

This new-age take on Vikram and Vetal, absolutely cannot be missed! We can’t stress enough on how marvellous this movie is, and this proves that Vijay Sethupathi’s script selection is beyond excellent. It is  more than a cat-and-mouse chase; be sure to watch this movie if you already haven’t!

6) Soodhu Kavvum

Ahead of its time, this Vijay Sethupathi starrer is a delicious dark comedy that came out in 2013. The film Soodhu Kavvum follows the story of Das played by Vijay Sethupathi, a middle-aged man who plans to kidnap minister’s son Arumai played by Ashok Selvan. Before he can act on his plan, another group kidnaps Arumai. This movie is an absolute laugh riot!

7) Sindubaadh

If one Sethupathi wasn’t enough, this movie has the father-son duo, Vijay and Surya Sethuapathi, proving that the movie is an absolute treat to watch! The story revolves around Thiru and Super, who live their day-to-day life stealing from wealthy people. Situations, however, change when Thiru’s wife gets kidnapped by a gang in Thailand.

8) Kavan 

Deva played by Vijay Sethupathi is a TV journalist working for a Tv channel owned by Kalyan, a corrupt media baron. Circumstances push Deva to go against his corrupt boss and help a group of youngsters in their fight against a chemical plant. This Vijay Sethupahti starrer will show you that the actor cares for his craft like no one else.

9) Sethupathi

Sethupathi, played by Vijay Sethupahti is a fearless cop about to be promoted. He starts investigating a policeman’s murder when his probe leads him to the local big shot. He must bring the criminal to book while holding on to his job. The movie is thrilling and arguably one of Vijay’s best performances.
