Why Ranbir Kapoor Never Bonded With Dad Rishi Kapoor As A Child? Read On To Know The Reason

Ranbir Kapoor, one of the hottest male actors in the Bollywood film industry, has the gorgeous looking Alia Bhatt as his girlfriend, but he is a complete mama’s boy by the end of the day!

Ranbir himself has admitted to that. In an interview, Ranbir spoke about his growing up years in a star-studded household and his relationship with his parents. Ranbir said he was not aware of his father’s stardom or even that his dad, Rishi Kapoor, was an actor!

Interestingly, Ranbir doesn’t watch his mom, Neetu Singh Kapoor’s films. The reason being he loves her very much and is shy to see her as an actress on screen. He also doesn’t like the idea of people judging his mother as an actress. However, he is a big fan of his father’s films.

Even though he is a fan of his father’s films, Ranbir didn’t share a great relationship with his father as a child. Rishi Kapoor was a busy actor, and Ranbir didn’t get to spend much time with him. Ranbir was petrified of his father and would cry even when his father asked him to finish his vegetables!

It was only much later, when he was a teen that their bond became stronger. During Rishi Kapoor’s Aa Ab Laut Chalein, Ranbir joined him as an assistant director, and that’s where he got to know his father better. After pack up, the two would bond over good food at fancy restaurants, which his dad would take him to.

Ranbir, who has his unique acting style, says he never tried to copy his father as an actor, but he’s proud that people tell him that he looks like his father, Rishi Kapoor. We agree to that, don’t we? He has his dad’s good genes for sure.
