Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla has had one engagement after another. At first, Omkar was getting engaged to Momo, but at the last moment, he realised that he will not be able to go through with it and stepped back. But there’s Mohit, who is pursuing Sweetu with an evil intent. He has been acting like a good groom in front of the Salvis and behind them, he has become very controlling and mean towards Sweetu. Omkar on the other hand, is as nice to Sweetu as ever and he is in fact not shy anymore to show his love for her. We think that this whole engagement drama is only bringing these two closer!

When Omkar and Sweetu complete the blindfold ritual

Back when Omkar was to be engaged to Momo, Nalu had happily invited them to join Mohit and Sweetu to a temple where there was an important ritual to be done. The couples had to go blindlfolded into the temple and open their blindfolds once sun rays hit them after reflecting off the idol in the temple. When the two couples were blindfolded, in a bit of confusion, Omkar and Sweetu stood together and the sun rays fell on them instead of Sweetu and Mohit. This means that the goddess blessed them and the two couldn’t take their eyes off each other!

Sweetu cares about what Omkar thinks around Mohit

When Mohit tries to display some sort of ownership, or affection towards Sweetu around Omkar, Sweetu becomes evidently uncomfortable. And her first instinct is to look at Omkar and see if he’s okay with it or if he’s in pain. We saw this the first time when Mohit introduced Sweetu as his fiancée and put his arm over her shoulder. Sweetu sadly looked at Omkar’s face who was trying to hold back his pain from showing on his face.

Mohit’s demand for dowry

This is one of Mohit’s biggest mistakes. First of all to ask for dowry is a crime, but secondly, he should have thought it through because it resulted in Sweetu spending more time with Omkar! When Mohit demanded a dowry, the Salvis panicked as they do not have that kind of money to give, so Sweetu took it upon herself to raise funds and asked Malavika for her job back. She took up a consignment and some other work and in all of it, Omkar was with her to accompany her. This has resulted in them spending more time with each other and making their feelings even stronger!

Mohit’s behaviour contrasts Omkar 

Mohit might be nice to the Salvis when he meets them socially, but whenever Omkar interacts with them it is a completely different thing. Omkar treats the Salvis like his own family and has a lot of love for them. When Mohit is absent and Omkar visits the Salvis, we see a worried Omkar caring for Vasant like his own son. Nalu and Sweetu are left teary-eyed by the visual because they realise how great Omkar is as a boy. For Sweetu, particularly, she sees in Omkar a true partner who is so different from the man who keeps harassing her on the phone and making demands every now and then.

When Sweetu agrees that she is with Omkar

Mohit has begun to stir anger in Sweetu’s pure and kind heart. She has agreed to marry Mohit because her mother wishes for it to happen, but she is not accepting of him. She also cannot tolerate how rude and controlling Mohit gets. When Sweetu is working with Omkar, Mohit calls her and asks her who she is with in a threatening tone. At first, she is scared and Omkar thinks that she will not tell Mohit the truth, but she does and she does so boldly! This is a win for Omkar and a personal win for Sweetu for standing up to Mohit as well. This is the beginning of Sweetu’s anger with Mohit.
