Badla: The Battle of Ideas

Badla is an Odia language dubbed movie of a man trying to save his family and the village he grew up in from malicious conspirators who used dirty politics and violence to break his family into chaos. The concept of Revenge has always been a great outline for creating a drama and action film story. However, what makes this story in particular different from the others is that, unlike most revenge stories, the protagonist is not seeking Revenge for his loss but protecting everyone from conspirators who seek Revenge against everyone and want to save everybody from that cycle of hatred.

The People Behind the Badla Movie

Famous Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee played the protagonist role, and he did not cease to amaze us with his scenes of action and drama in the film, which made him the king of Bengali cinema; with this role, he just proved himself once again by totally nailing it. And the cherry on top was the female cast of Anamika Saha, Moubani Sarkar, and Piya Das, and the phenomenal acting skill of Dulal Lahiri just made this film complete.

Badla director Anup Sengupta was the mind of this film. While making it, he wanted to make a family drama film that everyone could enjoy regardless of age and can understand the feeling this film contains. It was also during the phase when Prosenjit Chatterjee was one of the leading Bengali actors.

The Thrilling and Dramatical Plot of Badla

Ramnagar is a little but beautiful village, and the one leading that village is the chief of that area's panchayat, Bharati Devi. Everyone in the village respects her and considers her like a family. 

However, one day her life changed when Sonaton's father met with an accident and died, and Sonaton blamed her. 

Unlike him, everyone has already accepted that it was just an accident, but he couldn't let that slide and sought Revenge against her and her family. He intended to destroy her family and take over their authority, and he convinced her elder son to work with him. 

However, Sonaton's biggest enemy was still out there, the third son of Bharati Devi, Arjun. He was just like his mother, always caring for everyone and thinking of everyone as his family, and as long as he is still there, he won't let any harm come to his loved ones. 

The plot revolves around how Arjun saves everyone despite all his struggles and, in the end, who wins and how Arjun protects his family and villagers from the unknown conspirators.
