Angad Bedi’s Journey From Playing Supporting Roles To Essaying Lead In MumBhai, Actor Calls It ‘Tough’

Angad Bedi kick-started his career with his debut in the movie, Kaya Taran, in 2004. He played supporting roles in many shows and films and now, is all set to play the lead in MumBhai. Here’s a quick peek into his journey.

Angad Bedi dipped his toes in the world of cinema in 2004 after he was roped in for the movie, Kaya Taran. After this, he also hosted several television shows. Bedi played supporting roles in several movies like F.A.L.T.U, Rangeelay, Ungli, and others. However, he gained recognition after his role in Pink was well-received by fans. As of 2020, he is all set to play the lead in ZEE5’s upcoming Original, MumBhai. Interestingly, the trailer created quite a buzz among fans. In his interviews, Angad has often mentioned that his journey has been very tough. Here’s a quick peek into Bedi’s journey.

After Pink, Angad played pivotal roles in movies like Dear Zindagi, Tiger Zinda Hai, Soorma and others. He made his digital debut in 2017 with Inside Edge but gained massive popularity after this role in the show, The Verdict – State vs. Nanavati did super well with fans. He played the role of a gentleman called Karl Khandalawala, who is an extremely flamboyant lawyer and has never lost a case in his career.

In 2020, he was roped in for the movie, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and in his interview with IANS, Angad Bedi said that it hasn’t been an easy journey for him in the industry. However, he mentioned that Karan Johar has his ear on the ground and that he is always looking out for talent. And now, he is all set to play the lead role of Bhaskar, a cop and encounter specialist, in ZEE5’s web series, MumBhai. The trailer of the show garnered magnanimous love from entertainment buffs. Angad also took to his social media and thanked fans for showering the video with praises. “Thank you all for the love you have shown towards the trailer of MumBhai. Keep it coming,” he wrote.

Speaking about his struggle to The Indian Express, Angad stated that he was really struggling five years back and that he thinks it’s a different struggle now. He added that he’s very happy that he managed to shape his career as an actor. More so, he realised that eventually if people want longevity, they have to be a good actor, opined Angad. Backing his claims, Angad continued that his purpose was always to position himself as an actor, and for that, he kept working hard to hone his skills.

The trailer of MumBhai released on October 19 and the makers made sure that it struck the right chord with the audience. Starring Angad Bedi in lead, the series is all set to release on November 12. More so, Sikandar Kher, Sandeepa Dhar and others will play pivotal roles in the show.
