1. Posham Pa

Posham Pa premiered on ZEE5 in August 2019. The psychological thriller film is directed by  Suman Mukhopadhyay and stars Mahie Gill, Sayani Gupta, Ragini Khanna in the lead roles. The plot revolves around two sisters Regha and Sikha who murder 5 children and are arrested for their crime. They reveal their story to two documentary filmmakers who visit them at the cellar. Poshan Pa had received critical acclamation and the actor’s performances were appreciated.

2. The Verdict: State v/s Nanavati 

The Verdict: State vs Nanavati is a ZEE5 thriller which stars Elli Avram, Manav Kaul and Sumeet Vyas in the lead roles. The series is based on  1959 Indian judiciary case, K. M. Nanavati v. State of Maharashtra where naval officer Nanavati was accused of murdering Prem who was his wife’s alleged lover. The series that cast Elli as the wife revolves around jealousy, murder and politics. If you’re looking for a murder mystery that involves a woman, this one should be on a top of your list.

3. The Chargesheet: Innocent or Guilty

The Chargesheet: Innocent or Guilty stars Tridha Chaudhary, Arunoday Singh, Shiv Pandit, Hrishita Bhatt, Ashwini Kalsekar, Satish Kaushik, Kishori Shahane, Shakti Anand and Sikandar Kher. In the Chargesheet, Tridha Chaudhary plays the role of Antara who is married to a National table tennis champion. A politician falls in love with her. Soon her husband is murdered and a CBI officer seeks the truth behind the gruesome murder.

4. The Judgement Day 

The Judgement Day is a Bengali original web series that stars Sohini Sarkar and Madhumita Sarcar in the lead roles. The plot revolves around Hiya, who is raped and almost murdered and left to die. Her sister Diya tries her best to give her justice. Will the sister get justice on the judgement day? Watch the series to find out.

5. Churails 

The ZEE5 original series Churails is a story of 4 women detectives who are on a mission to punish abusive husbands. However, their life changes when they come across a woman who accidentally murders her abusive husband. The show stars Pakistani actors  Sarwat Gilani, Mehar Bano, Nirma Bucha, and Yasra Rizvi. The series is set in Karachi and is said to be one of the most progressive Pakistani series.
