Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan Trends After The Reports Of Actor’s Rs 12 Crore Fee Hits Internet!

Of late, there have been many movies/shows that have got under the radar for ‘hurting religious sentiments’. Amid this, people demand the ban of content or either go on with an online campaign, boycotting the artists involved. Similarly, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan is facing the rage of the netizens after she demanded a whopping fee for her upcoming project, an adaptation of the epic ‘Ramayana’. Reportedly, the actor has been in talks to play the character of Sita for which she demanded Rs. 12 crores. And this has certainly left many people offended who went on to express their rage over the web.

Recently, the makers approached Kareena to play the role of Sita in the mythological drama film. For which, the actor has charged Rs.12 crore which is more than her usual fees, ranging from Rs 6 to 8 crores. The hike in her fees has not gone down well with the netizens. They alleged that Kareena is hurting their religious sentiments by demanding a hefty amount for the film. Many of them expressed their outrage and thus #BoycottKareenaKapoorKhan began trending on Twitter.

Many Twitterattis went on to say that Kareena is not perfect to play Sita. Also, a few others lashed out at the director Alaukik Desai for planning to cast Kareena for the film. During this, many users were quick to highlight the actor’s husband Saif Ali Khan’s web show Tandav. For those unversed, the show also had got into trouble for hurting religious sentiments. 

While many netizens are trolling Kareena over her demand, a few others are sharing alternative names for the role of Sita. The names include actors Kangana Ranaut, Yami Gautam, Anushka Shetty, and Keerthy Suresh.

On the other hand, the film’s writer K V Vijayendra Prasad had clarified that Kareena has not been finalized yet. Earlier, there were reports that makers are planning to cast Deepika Padukone for the role. Talking more about this big-budget project, it will feature Mahesh Babu as Rama while Hrithik Roshan will play the role of Ravana. Apart from Hindi, the film will also be released in Telugu and Tamil languages.
