#BreakingTheBarriers: 5 times Radhamma Kuthuru’s Akshara set examples of courage

Radhamma Kuthuru, starring Deepthi Manne as Akshara and Gokul as Aravind, has a few of the strongest and most inspiring women, in the form of Radhamma, Bujamma, Akshara and others. Ever since the inception of the show, Akshara has impressed us with her determination, courage, and honesty. With Women’s Day 2021 not too far away, we thought of looking back at five instances where she truly broke the barriers.

1) When she showed the courage to chase her dream

There are several women who give up on their dreams once they are married, but Akshara is not one of them. Way before her wedding, she th0ught of becoming an IAS officer, and she is seen working towards it regardless of her marital status. It is laudable because not a lot of women from her surroundings would muster the courage to do that.

2) When she adopts Kanakadurga

To be a parent is a difficult job but to adopt a child to give them a future is a lot more difficult and commendable in many ways. When the family realises that Purandari might not be able to bring up her child, Akshara accepts the child with open arms to give Kanakadurga a nice life.

3) When she saved Rajesh’s reputation

When Shruti came up with her masterplan of tarnishing Rajesh’s reputation and intoxicated him, Akshara made sure that she was there for Rajesh and came up with a better plan to save the day. It is in times like these that we know that Akshara is way smarter than anyone who comes after her loved ones.

4) When she bashed up a thief

Not too long after our introduction to Akshara, we saw her beating up a thief without waiting for anyone’s help. While we are sure that she taught the thief a lesson, we can only imagine how many women learned to take the matter in their own hands and do the needful instead of waiting for a man to do so.

5) When she taught the goons a lesson for misbehaving

There was an incident when a few goons were misbehaving with Akshara’s sister, Archana. As soon as this caught Akshara’s eyes, she poured hot Sambar on one of them. Later, she took him aside and scolded him left and right, proving to us yet again that she is one of the most courageous people you will meet out there.
