Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh received rave reviews from the critics, however, it failed to have a great start at the box-office. Here’s how much the film has collected on its opening day

Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh made it to the theatres this Friday. While the film is receiving mixed reviews by critics and netizens, this debutant Varun S Sharma directorial failed to take a flying start at the box-office on day one. The film, which is a sequel of a 16-year-old film with the same name, saw Saif replacing Abhishek Bachchan, while Pankaj Tripathi stepped into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes. The new additions to the film were the new Bunty and Babli- Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari.

Despite having Guru Purab Holiday on Friday, Bunty Aur Babli 2 failed to impress the audience. As per the online reports, the film has even failed to touch the Rs 3 crore mark. The film has somehow managed to cross the 2.5 cr mark. Bunty Aur Babli 2 has earned just Rs 2.60 crore at the domestic box-office. Yes, this is all that the film has managed to earn. However, the makers are hopeful and are looking for the weekend. Latest reports suggest that Varun V Sharma directorial has been facing a tough time from Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The report also states that had Bunty Aur Babli 2 released before Sooryavanshi then it might have seen a brighter day on its opening.
