Kiara Advani is an actress who has won millions of hearts with her acting & radiant smile. She is one of the most coveted newcomers in the film industry. Getting her fame from her performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kiara has floored her fans through all her projects and unmatchable fashion sense after that.
Kiara was on a college trip to McLeod Ganj with her friends. There was too much snow, due to which they were holed up in their rooms. There is no clue how the room caught fire, but they had slept for an hour since the fire started. One of her friends noticed the fire and raised the alarm. All their faces were covered in black soot when they woke up. The incident was very disturbing for Kiara.
Kiara Advani loves kids and spending time with them. For her first job, she worked at her mother's school. She used to reach school by 7 in the morning and play with the young toddlers. She recited poems with them and taught them alphabets. The actress lovingly cared for the children and even changed their diapers herself whenever necessary.
If it weren't for acting, the actress might have been a child psychiatrist. She was good in studies, scored 92% in her 12th standard, and worked as a teacher too for a while.
Kiara Advani was in front of the camera when she was just eight months old for a baby cream. No wonder that she loves acting and had always wanted to be an actress. The song and dance routines in the films appealed to her. Living in Delhi, she did bend to the pressure of acting to watch and like only English movies and appear "Cool." But when nobody was watching, she used to perform dialogues from KKKG & practice Govinda's dance moves.
She had connections in Bollywood because of her family background, and that's how she met Salman Khan. Her father trusted Salman and said if he is in the industry, he has no issues letting her pursue acting. However, her mother had put the condition of completing her graduation before stepping into the industry. Salman encouraged her and told her to prepare for her launch, which she did by taking acting & dance classes.
When Kiara did Fugly, she adopted her stage name, Kiara. Salman Khan suggested that she change her name as Alia is already a renowned name in the industry, and she needs to establish her unique identity. They were brainstorming ideas for her new name, and even Salman suggested some.
She liked the name "Kiara" when Priyanka Chopra introduced herself as "Hi, I'm Kiara" in Anjaana Anjaani. She thought that it's a lovely name and was planning to name her future daughter Kiara. But then, she took the name for herself.
At home, she is fondly called Aloo, Als, Ki, and Kiara by her family.
Kiara had high hopes for her debut film, but the movie didn't do well at the box office. Though she got good reviews for her performance by many critics, she was disappointed. Kiara got into a shell and stopped talking to anybody or hanging out with her friends. She got anxious thinking about her future and doubted she would get another chance in the industry.
It was then when she had to show her strength. She mustered all her courage and confidence and again took acting classes. She started going for auditions, faced tons of rejections but never lost her heart until she finally got her next break and proved her worth.
With her talent, she got the people in the industry to recognize her talent, and now the actress gets fantastic roles and movies. Today, she's glad she didn't give up.
By playing the roles of Sakshi, Preeti, and Dimple, she has proved her craft. She believes that movies are for just entertainment and can be left at just that. But she is also grateful that her characters, such as Preeti, had started a conversation on misogyny and toxic masculinity. Or, through Megha, she could have people talk about female sexual gratifications as well.
Her performances have grabbed the attention of many filmmakers, so many offers are coming her way. So much so that she had to walk out of many projects due to her busy schedule. Realizing that people now expect more from her, she is also making conscious choices.
Recently, she rejected Apurva, a woman-centric film, because it would have been a great risk for her career. She has decided to do only one woman-centric movie in a limited time frame, and she's already signed Karram Kurram.
Kiara, who is often perceived as arrogant, is a person who puts her culture & values in high regard. She shows immense zeal & passion towards her work and keeps an attitude to learn more to improve her craft. She is driven & focused on her career and has proven she is a promising actress with a lot of potential.
