Chiranjeevi happy with Sai Pallavi for declining Bhola Shankar

Actor Chiranjeevi is happy that Sai Pallavi will not play his sister in his upcoming movie Bhola Shankar. Did we get that wrong? Happy at turning him down?! No. The reason for his happiness lies in Chiranjeevi’s desire to romance Sai Pallavi on screen as his leading lady and not as his sister.

An earnest desire

Hailed as Madhuri Dixit of the South, Chiranjeevi wants to go toe to toe with this extremely graceful dancer. It is this facet of her acting repertoire that has her growing fan base excited. It is also this same quality that made Chiranjeevi pray that Sai Pallavi rejects the role offered to her in Bhola Shankar by the makers. And almighty did answer his prayers. Not that the Fidaa star Sai Pallavi heard the megastar’s prayers. It is just that she did not want to be part of a remake.

Chiranjeevi who along with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was part of the grand pre-release launch of Sai Pallavi’s upcoming film Love Story opposite Naga Chaitanya. It was at this event that Chiranjeevi expressed his admiration for Sai Pallavi and told the audience that he prayed that the actor declines the offer to play his sister and that he was elated at her decision.

Bhola Shankar is Tollywood’s adaptation of Ajith Kumar’s ‘Vedhalam’, a Tamil blockbuster. Makers of Bhola Shankar later pencilled in Keerthy Suresh for the slot that Sai Pallavi vacated. It is reported that Sai Pallavi confessed to Chiranjeevi that she is not comfortable doing remakes and fears working in them. It was also her innate desire to prove to the cine world that she is a good dancer by squaring off with Chiranjeevi by becoming his love interest and not his sister.

Sai Pallavi in the meanwhile will star opposite Naga Chaitanya in the Tollywood flick Love Story, a romantic drama, that will hit the screens on September 24. Chiranjeevi, who has his busy schedule, in addition to Bhola Shankar will also be seen in Acharya. For Sai Pallavi, it will be Virata Parvam with Rana Daggubati in the lead.
