‘Disability Exists Only When You Give Up’, Says Zidd Star Amit Sadh On Disability Day

Actor Amit Sadh recently shared a picture of himself on Instagram in honor of the International Day of Disabled Persons. The picture is from his upcoming ZEE5 original web series titled Zidd where he will be seen playing the role of a disabled army officer. He has honoured differently-abled people in his caption and has stated that ‘Disability exists only when you give up’. In the picture, Amit Sadh can be seen holding a stern expression with his face covered in dust while looking away from the camera.

In his caption, Amit Sadh urged his fans to respect differently-abled people and to treat them equally. He also asked the fans to ‘imbibe’ the ‘unrelenting fighting spirit’ of those who are differently-abled. “We have to respect people as differently-abled and not disabled” he said.

He also wrote a very touching and heartwarming piece with this picture which said that once we have overcome our pain and our ‘heart has healed’, we’re born again a lot stronger. Looking back at everything we’ve gone through, we realize that we’ve risen from the ashes just like a phoenix. “You then look back at everything you’ve gone through and realize YOU’RE A PHOENIX, RISING FROM ASHES”, his caption said.

Amit Sadh’s starrer Zidd is a Zee5 original web series that revolves around a couple who never give up on anything. They are very brave and overcome impossibly hard obstacles with valiance and courage. This gripping series is based on India’s Special forces and is inspired by true events. Amit Sadh has said he would like to dedicate this (Zidd) ‘to our country, to our citizens, and each and every soldier of our country’. To him, this is the ‘biggest honour as a citizen and as an artist’.

The series stars a power-packed cast that includes  Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri, and Sushant Singh in lead roles. It is directed by Vishal Mangalorkar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. Zidd is a story of conviction, persuasion, passion, and commitment and is all set to release on 22nd January next year exclusively on Zee5.
