COVID-19 pandemic brought in a lot of changes on every level. While everyone was forced to be locked inside their houses, financial constraints were at an all-time high too. Well, talking about financial constraints, our telly town celebrities were also at the receiving end.

1. Nia Sharma :
Telly town’s Naagin, Nia Sharma recently spoke about being out of work for almost a year and a half amidst the covid 19 pandemic. Her show Naagin 4 was also axed abruptly thus leaving the cast of the show under a crisis.

2. Zaan Khan:
Zaan Khan spoke to various media houses regarding the non payment of his dues during his last show ‘Hamari Bahu Silk.’ He revealed how he has been trying to ask the production for his dues, however all his efforts went in vain. The actor along with the cast of his show also protested outside the producer’s house.

3. Ronit Roy :
In an interview, Ronit Roy revealed how difficult it was for him to take care of a 100 families which were financially dependent on him.  He revealed that he had to sell things to provide to them and that it had taken a toll on him financially.
4. Sonal Vengurlekar :
Sonal Vengurlekar is a popular face of the television industry too. However, the actress has been out of work for quite some time now. During the covid 19 pandemic, the actress revealed that it was her makeup man who offered her money as the actress was not able to make her ends meet. She revealed that she had called him to know about how he has been able to manage his situation, however it was him who came forward to help her and that she was deeply touched by this gesture.
5. Vaishalee Thakker:
After fellow actor’s suicide, Vaishali revealed that she had flown down to her home town Indore as she had exhausted all her savings. She revealed that she was out of work for almost all of 2019 except for a film and that she had to depend on her savings which were also spent during the lockdown. The actress revealed that the payment of her dues for her show Manmohini were also delayed owing to the pandemic and also requested all producers and production houses to not hold on to the remuneration.
Well, even though the situations are now slowly coming in control and the industry is recovering from the blow, it can be readily accepted that along with the common man, our telly town celebrities too were struggling to make their ends meet.
