Some love stories are immortal. And Zee tv has been giving its viewers some beautiful love stories for ages now. Take a look!

Who doesn’t love love, right? As viewers, we’ve grown up watching a lot of love stories in cinema halls, listening to love stories as bedtime stories, and even watching love stories at the dinner table with family. The upcoming show Teri Meri Ikk Jindri starring Adhvik Mahajan and Amandeep Sidhu is another love story revolving around an ambitious girl and a fun-loving, complacent boy. Jogi is a carefree boy who loves his family and his slow life. Mahi craves for more and doesn’t settle. She loves driving and wants to earn for herself so she buys a car and becomes a female taxi driver in her town! Her rich and powerful brother-in-law opposes her at every move but Mahi is a tough girl who can hold her ground. But will she be able to stand up for her love when the time comes? We’ll find out soon enough.

But before Teri Meri Ikk Jindri hits the small screens, let’s rewind the time and appreciate how Zee Tv has brought us some of the most interesting and different tales of love. While we eagerly wait for Teri meri Ikk Jindir to begin on the 27th, let’s take a look at some of these sagas that Zee made us fawn over for years.

Pavitra Rishta

This show was the ultimate fan-favourite! It was famous for the gorgeous onscreen pairing of Ankita Lokhande as Archana, a quiet and lovely girl and Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav, a mechanic. Their heartwarming chemistry was the highlight of this show. Set in Mumbai, it revolved around their bond and how they face many hurdles in their life together.

Starring Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover, this show was uncommon because it revolved around a Muslim family. This show depicted a love story in a Muslim household. Surbhi Jyoti played Zoya Farooqi, an NRI girl who comes back to Bhopal to find her father and Karan Singh Grover as Asad Ahmed Khan, as the head of the Khan family where Zoya stays while in Bhopal. As they live under the same roof, their ideologies clash and they’re always at loggerheads. But as time passes and many events unfold, they begin to fall in love.

Watch this show if you love some family drama and the ‘opposites attract’ trope.

Kasamh Se

When their parents meet with sudden death, it is up to Bani to take responsibility of her two sisters Piya and Rano. All three sisters are different in personalities, but the love they share for each other is infinite. Viewers loved this show for Bani and Mr Walia’s chemistry but there’s more to the show than that. The villainous Jignyasa’s performance is also something to appreciate!

Jamai Raja was a 2015 hit show on Zee Tv. It definitely gave us a great onscreen pair in Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma, but it also gave Indian viewers a refuge from saas-bahu drama and gave us a fresh take on relationships from the eyes of a Jamai (a son-in-law). In the show, Sid (Ravi) is a hotelier but he falls for Roshni and gives up his life of comfort to live with her in her house.

This Dharsti Dhami starrer was set in 1945, just around the cusp of Independence. It revolved around Gayatri and Rana Indravadan and their business deal of marriage. Rana came from a royal family and Gayatri came from an influential, rich family so the show is sure to be filled with royal drama, politics, love and revenge. Watch this show if you love everything royal!

Punar Vivah
