Asha Bhosale who will be featuring on the upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer season 2 will be seen shaking her leg on the iconic song. The veteran singer will also be seen revealing her wish of dancing

Asha Bhosle, a veteran singer, will become the upcoming guest on India’s Best Dancer, a dancing reality programme. Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis, among the show’s judges, will not only be seen judging on the show but will also be seen shaking a leg with the veteran singer.  Sony posted a preview for the special weekend episode. Asha, the queen of melody, shall meet people who define dance for the very first time on Indian television.

It reveals Asha Bhosle, dressed in a blue silk saree, walking on a platform with host Maniesh Paul. She also says that she wished to study dance since she was a youngster, before showing clips of her performing with everyone. Malaika is seen replicating Hrithik Roshan’s iconic dance step from the track Ek Pal Ka Jeena with her on stage, while Maniesh is seen swaying with her. Terence and Asha dance to the song Ek Main Aur Ek Tu.

In the trailer, Asha Bhosle performs a Marathi tune for an older lady who dances on stage to it. On that evening, Asha will be honouring her 75-year career as a singer. With the tune Chala Chala Nav Bala, she made her singing breakthrough in the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal. In her career, she has performed over 12000 songs. She is the sister of vocalist Lata Mangeshkar and the late music great RD Burman’s wife.

Months ago, Asha Bhosle revealed her wish to revive her live performances. She told a leading daily that immediately before the pandemic, she performed three live performances. Many of her performances were cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. Everything came to a standstill due to the pandemic. She was only waiting for everything to return to normal so she could continue her live concerts. With their contributions to music, the famed vocal pair of Indian music Asha Bhosle and R. D. Burman left an indelible impression on the profession. In honour of RD Burman’s 82nd birthday, the veteran singer also wrote a touching tribute to the late composer RD Burman.
