IPML March 27-28 Episode Round Up: UP Dabbangs Steal The Limelight In The Third Innings Of This Singing Reality Show

Check out what happened in the third super match and league of Zee TV’s new singing reality show, Indian Pro Music League.

Indian Pro Music League has been entertaining the audience for a long now. After two successful innings, the third innings of IPML began on 27 March. The new innings came with new rules and a completely new format. Before IPML was fully based on audience votes, with third innings, the teams will be scored by their competitive teams based on their performances. As a new week began, host Karan and Waluscha announced ‘Jajjaman Ka Farmaan’ for the second innings.

In the three league matches, Gujarat Rockers, Punjab Lions and Mumbai Warriors won and scored one point each. With the highest votes, Punjab Lions became the fan favourite team and scored five points.

Super League Match – Third Innings

Host Karan then introduced the new format of IPML super league matches. There will be two rounds in each match. In the First-round called the super round, all teams would perform and a captain from each team is mandatory to sing on the IPML stage in this round. The second round is all about keeping your best foot forward as it is the spotlight round. Each team will send their best stars to perform in this round. Before the performances began, the hit jodi of the Zee family – Preeta and Karan were welcomed on-stage.

The first round began with Karan Wahi welcoming the UP Dabbangs. Captain Ankit along with Salman Ali and Payal Dev gave a mesmerizing performance by singing a song by Lata Mangeshkar and then completing their performance with the song Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. UP Dabangg was appreciated with a total score of 28 out of 30.

The second performance was given by captain Kailash Kher and Rachit Aggarwal from Mumbai Warriors. They sang Kailash Kher’s iconic song – Saiyaan. They received a total of 20 points out of 30. Next, it was Punjab Lions who set fire on the stage with their amazing performance. Captain Mika Singh along with Asees Kaur and Rupali Jagga sang a beautiful song Deewangi Ye Jo Pyar Ki Hai. Their performance was loved by all the teams and it was declared a super sixer performance.

Later captain Shaan and Akriti Kakkar from Bengal Tigers gave an outstanding performance as they set a romantic vibe with the song Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam. Bengal Tigers kept the romantic vibe alive with Ruturaj and Asees singing the song Geruaa. They received a total score of 26 out of 30.

Gujarat Rockers and Delhi Jammers gave the last two performances in the first round. Captain Javed Ali along with Bhoomi Trivedi, Aditi Singh Sharma and Laaj set the mood right with the song Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin while Neha Bhasin and Shabab Sabri made the audience groove on the beats of Kuch Khaas Hai. Gujarat Rockers and Delhi Jammers received 24 and 26 points out of 30 respectively.

In the spotlight round, teams sent in their favourite stars for a musical faceoff. Stars like Mohammad Irfan, Amit Gupta, Aditi Singh Sharma, Divya Kumar, and Shabab Sabri were asked to put their best foot forward. Mumbai Warriors and Punjab Lions scored a 30 on 30 in this round while Bengal Tiger got the lowest points i.e 26 out of 30.

Super League matchUP Dabbangs Vs Delhi Jammers 

With the start of the new innings, the format of the super league match was changed. Now there is a panel of judging captains who would score each performance. For this super league match, the judging captains were Mika Singh, Akriti Kakkar, Rupali Jagga and Kailash Kher.

The first round was based on the theme of romance. Payal Dev from UP Dabbangs created a romantic vibe on the IPML stage with the song Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi. Priyanshi Shrivastav surprised everyone with her beautiful performance on the song Mere Naam Tu. 

The second round was all about the iconic Holi songs. Shabab Sabri and Priyanshi Shrivastav from Delhi Jammers made the audience groove on the song Rang Barse. On the other hand, the whole team of UP Dabbangs danced on the IPML stage as they sang songs like Balam Pichkari and Holi Khele. The performance by UP Dabangg was declared the super sixer performance by the judging panel.

The third round was the Folk vs Sufi round. Neha Bhasin from Delhi Jammers dedicated her performance to her father. She sang two songs – Lambi Judaai and Madhaniya and made everyone very emotional with her heartfelt performance. She received a super sixer from the judging captains. From UP Dabbangs, Amit Gupta and Rupali Bharnariya were welcomed on stage. They gave a new touch to the song Kabira and received a total score of 22 out of 24.

The fourth round was the best foot forward round. UP Dabbangs and Delhi Jammers kept their best foot forward as they sent Salman Ali and Sajid Khan. Salman Ali created magic on stage with the song Laal IshqSajid Khan accompanied by Shabib Sabri set the dancing mood with the song Hud Hud Dabangg. For the IPML ultimate faceoff, it was Salman Ali vs Shabba Sabri. They sang the song Chaap Tilak. Their performance received a standing ovation and it was declared a super sixer performance. By the end of the first league match, UP Dabanng took the lead with a total score of 108 while Delhi Jammers were standing second with 104 points.
