Is Pooja Bedi Tying The Knot For The Second Time?

Pooja Bedi, the Bollywood actor and a newspaper columnist, who is well-known for her role in the 1992 Aamir Khan starrer, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, celebrated her 51st birthday on 11 May. Reportedly, the actress might soon be tying the knot for the second time. Read on to know more about it.

Pooja Bedi, the daughter of veteran actor Kabir Bedi, often makes it to the headlines or finds herself amidst controversies, due to her controversial statements. Recently, she got into controversy for a statement that she made regarding ‘boyfriends’ and ‘virginity’ while being in the film industry. In an interview, while talking about changing times, she said, “In my time, things were so different! You had to be boyfriend-free, a virgin, and unmarried. Today, every single human is entitled to have a personal life.”

Pooja Bedi, who was married to the businessman Farhan Ebrahim Furniturewala from 1994 to 2003, is currently dating a businessman, Manek Contractor and has gotten engaged to him. She has two children from her previous marriage, Alaya and Omar Furniturewala. Her daughter Alaya, recently made her acting debut in the Hindi film industry, with the Saif Ali Khan starrer film, Jawaani Jaaneman, and also won the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Actress for the film.

Sources say that Alaya motivated her mother to go ahead with her relationship with Manek Contractor, saying that she too deserves to move ahead in life and be happy. Pooja Bedi and Manek Contractor have been engaged and while there are rumours that they will tie the knot very soon, there are no reports of them setting a date for their marriage.
