IWMBuzz Digital Award Winner, Guneet Monga, Calls ‘Tigers’ Toughest Film Of Her Career

ZEE5 showed it’s dominance in the digital content space by taking home 8 awards at the IWMBuzz Digital Awards. One of the awards went to the Guneet Monga who produced ZEE5 Original Film, Tigers, which won the Most Popular Digital Film Award. Guneet Monga has been a part of a number of films that push the envelope in culture and cinema with ‘Masaan‘ and, the Oscar-winning, ‘Period. End of Sentence’. However, at the award acceptance speech Guneet Monga explained why Tigers was her most her most challenging film.

Guneet mentioned that she was asked a few days ago what was her toughest film. To which her answer immediately was Tigers. She reveals that the film took 10 years to make and put together. She is happy that a really important film made by Bosnian director Danis Tanovic with Emraan Hashmi is also a popular choice winner.

She thanked everyone from the IWMBuzz Awards, to Emraan Hashmi and the entire team that made Tigers. She reserved special thanks for ZEE5 who pushed to get this film out there and calls them an important part of the film’s journey. A similar sentiment was mentioned on her Instagram posts almost exactly a year ago when the film released on ZEE5.
