Veteran actor and Samajwadi Party MP had hit out at BJP MP Ravi Kishan in Rajya Sabha.

The alleged use of drugs by Bollywood stars has become an issue that’s being discussed in Parliament now. In the Rajya Sabha, after BJP MP Ravi Kishan made comments about “drug addiction” in the film industry, Jaya Bachchan hit out at him saying, “Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry.” This has now irked Kangana Ranaut who has taken a dig at the veteran actor’s statement on Twitter.

Bachchan had said about Kishan’s statement in Rajya Sabha, “I was really embarrassed and ashamed that yesterday one our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the industry, spoke against the film industry.” To this Ranaut said on Twitter, “Jaya ji would you say the same thing if in my place it was your daughter Shweta beaten, drugged and molested as a teenage, would you say the same thing if Abhishek complained about bullying and harassment constantly and found hanging one day? Show compassion for us also.”
