KBC 13: Amitabh Bachchan Is In Splits After Listening Harbhajan Singh’s Amusing Story About Sachin Tendulkar From A Net Session

Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo for Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 on Instagram, in which host Amitabh Bachchan shared some lighthearted moments with celebrity guests Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh. When Amitabh made fun of the former cricketers’ “best known” tempers, Irfan took out a couple of stress balls and tried to help them release their rage with the help of those. Harbhajan then remembered the actor that he is the iconic ‘Angry Young Man’, referring to the nickname given to him for his roles in 70s’ films such as Zanjeer, Deewaar, and Sholay.

Amitabh then asked the two to name a cricketer who makes them nervous. Harbhajan Singh admitted that Sachin Tendulkar initially intimidated him. “Darr lagta tha ki kuch muh se nikal na jaaye ya unke shaan ke khilaaf (I was afraid of saying something that might be an insult to his stature),” he explained.

Harbhajan recalled an incident that occurred during a net session with Sachin in 1998. Harbhajan said Sachin would nod after every ball. Harbhajan initially ignored the gesture, but then approached Sachin and asked if he had anything to say. Sachin declined, and Harbhajan resumed his bowling. Harbhajan decided to stay on the ‘backfoot’ with Sachin after it happened a second time.

“Woh baad mein pata chala unki aadat hai, woh helmet theek karte hai aise karke (I later found out that it was his way of fixing his helmet),” leaving Amitabh burst out laughing.

Harbhajan also pulled the leg of his fellow friend Irfan saying he can eat with two hands and is capable of finishing food intended for four people alone. He further also made fun of their English skills and narrated a story from his days at the National Cricket Academy. He stated that they were asked to fill out some forms, and one of the boys wrote “pink” in the “mother tongue” column.
