Lahore Confidential: How This Richa Chadha Starrer Will Explore Shades Of Patriotism, Cross-Border Love And Other Themes

There have been many stories revolving around India – Pakistan conflict, be it the tales of border crossings or the exploration of life across both these nations. And these stories, even if they are fictitious, give a reality-like experience to the viewers. Hence, writers and filmmakers love to pick this real conflict for critical plot points or to add drama to their cinematic version of a story. In a similar instance, ZEE5’s upcoming original film Lahore Confidential weaves a cross-border love story.

Directed by Kunal Kohli, the film will revolve around Ananya, a RAW agent who’s on a secret mission in Pakistan, and how her relationship with Rauf, an ISI agent puts the objective of her mission at stake. Featuring Richa Chadha, Arunoday Singh, and Karishma Tanna in the pivotal roles, the film will be capturing some interesting themes.

For instance, Ananya, a divorced woman leading a typical life gets a second chance when her immense love for Urdu poetry lands her on a secret mission led by RAW. 

The characters will be seen making sacrifices for the sake of their nation and also for their personal benefits. Well, it remains to be seen who’s on which side.

The intelligence agencies RAW and ISI are the souls of Lahore Confidential as the film portrays each and every side of these national agencies, be it good or bad. From their hardships, true patriotism, and their sacrifices to the propagandas driven by political benefits, the film will shed a light on these major topics.
