Meet Krishnakoli’s Krishna: Nikhil and Shyama Choudhury’s 18-year-old daughter & Benares’ Popular Bhajan Singer

Zee Bangla‘s popular television show Krishnakoli that stars Tiyasha Roy and Neel Bhattacharya in the lead roles, recently took a massive leap in time. The show has taken an 18-year leap in the story and in the lives of the characters on the show, who have aged accordingly. Along with some of the changes in the age of the existing characters on the show, new characters have also been introduced in the latest episodes of Krishnakoli. One of the main introductions has been that of Krishna.

Krishna is the daughter of the famous Krishnakoli couple, Nikhil Choudhury and Shyama Choudhury, played by Neel Bhattacharya and Tiyasha Roy, respectively. Krishna now lives in Benares with her mother Shyama. She is 18 years old and is a known and loved bhajan singer at the temple. Krishna also exudes the kindness, positivity, love, and caring nature that Shyama was always known to possess. People at the temple love her and only have good things to say about her.

Before taking the leap, the viewers of Krishnakoli had seen that Shyama and Nikhil had been separated by fate. Nikhil thought that Shyama had left to go far away from him while she was pregnant. Nikhil read a letter that confirmed this. He was upset that she had left with their child, leaving him behind. It upset Nikhil that he was stripped away of his love and his child by Shyama.

On the other hand, Shyama has no recollection of her past. This was a result of a severe accident she had, which led to her memory loss. Krishna, who lives with Shyama in Benares, has no clue about her father, Nikhil. She tries to get Shyama to talk about her past in order to learn more about her family but fails as Shyama cannot remember anything. Krishna dreams of visiting Kolkata someday but Shyama is wary of the idea.
