Siddhartha needs to know about his toxic habits soon as these are ultimately causing him the most harm.

Adrit Roy and Soumitrisha Kundu star as Siddhartha/Sid and Mithai, respectively in the Zee Bangla TV serial Mithai. Siddhartha Modak is one of the oldest grandchildren of Siddheshwar Modak amongst many others. Sid has a distinct personality, compared to his cousins, which consists of some of the most self-destructive and toxic habits that he needs to work on as soon as possible.

Mithai’s Siddhartha is a very reserved person. Therefore, understanding his thought process behind most things is a rather difficult task for anybody really. While he keeps his feelings to himself, for the most part, in a recent outburst his thoughts regarding his mother’s demise were revealed.

1. Living in denial

Sid screamingly stated that he can never accept that his mother is no longer alive. As heartbreaking as it is to lose a mother, living in denial of her passing for this long is extremely self-destructive. Although it is a pain that one may never overcome, facing the truth and the emotions that follow, definitely help in coping better with the devastation.

2. Suppressing emotions

Along with living in denial, Siddhartha also avoids his feelings and emotions about several things. It is not that the man does not have feelings, he does. However, he refuses to accept it or let himself feel most of his emotions. Locking up his emotions leads him to be bitter and rather cold towards certain situations and people, such as his own father and Mithai.

3. Pushing away loved ones

Sid also pushes his well-wishers, his family and Mithai, away way too much, irrespective of how much they look out for him. Not only does Sid never acknowledge or appreciate their concerns and love for him, but he also turns verbally rude towards them. Samaresh, his father, tried to bridge the gap between Sritama, his sister, and Sid recently. Instead of recognising his father’s care, Sid hurt him by saying the most insulting and mean things, which took Samaresh even further away from him.

4. Running away from situations

Turning your back towards uncomfortable situations is of no help in the long run. However, Sid resorts to doing so pretty often. Many times, he has ended up staying over at Torsha’s house after an argument or a fight at home, which has troubled Dadai a lot. In a recent episode, Dadai was seen confronting Sid about this exact habit of his as well, which further resulted in him leaving to stay at a guest house.
