The makers of the romantic drama Love Story, starring Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya, revealed on Friday that the film’s release had been postponed once more.
The team stated on August 18 that the film will be released on September 10 to coincide with the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival. The film was set to be released in theatres today, i.e. on September 10, competing with Thalaivi and Seetimarr.
The production banner of the film, Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, made a statement confirming that the film will be released on September 24. The crew stated that the film’s release has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but that they cannot wait for audiences to see it. On Vinayaka Chaturthi, they too sent their best wishes to supporters.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances, the release of our movie Love Story has been postponed. We are extremely eager to show all our film. Love Story is all set for a worldwide grand theatrical release on 24th September 2021. We hope to see you all in theatres soon. Wishing you all a safe and happy Vinayaka Chaviti,” the statement read.
The film is produced by Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and directed by Sekhar Kammula, who is known for films such as Fidaa, Happy Days, Life is Beautiful, and Anand, among others.
Love Story stars Naga Chaitanya as Revanth and Sai Pallavi as Mounica and is directed by Sekhar Kammula. Devayani, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Rajeev Kanakala, and Easwari Rao all play significant roles in the romance drama. The film’s catchy melodies have already won over the audience’s hearts.
Sekhar Kammula previously collaborated with actor Sai Pallavi on the film Fidaa in 2017.
Naga Chaitanya, on the other hand, has films like Thank You and Laal Singh Chaddha in the works. Laal Singh Chaddha, Chaitanya’s Hindi film debut, stars Kareena Kapoor and is set for a Christmas 2021 release.
