Pookalam Varavayi: Are Abhimanyu and Samyuktha on the verge of separation again?

In the previous episode of Pookalam Varavayi, we saw Abhimanyu return home from the hospital and things took a sudden turn. We saw Abhimanyu try to settle himself in with the family members without realising the fact that it was Sharmila who caused him to be at the hospital in the first place. Abhi’s vulnerable mind is once again manipulated by his mother figure as we see him raging as he is informed about Ashokan living with the family.

Abhimanyu gets upset upon seeing Ashokan and starts hitting him before he can open his mouth. Abhimanyu thrashes Ashokan and ousts him from the house without listening to anyone. Samyuktha and Sapthathi, who now trust Ashokan, are left helpless as Abhi chooses not to hear them. Ashokan, being the better person, tells Abhi that he is committing a mistake and leaves with his eyes filled with tears.

Now, Samyuktha is upset when Abhimanyu behaves in the way he did and tells him that it was Ashokan who saved his life. Samyuktha challenges Abhimanyu while talking about all the things Ashokan did for them and tells Abhi that he cannot separate the blood bond they share. This is where things begin to go downhill, as we see a raging Abhimanyu pick up a knife and threaten Samyuktha that he will simply cut himself and release the blood that Ashokan donated for him.

Scared to the bone, Samyuktha stops him and pushes him away. She breaks down seeing Abhimanyu’s action and is now feeling helpless about his behaviour. This is not the first time we see Abhimanyu at his worst, and it won’t be a surprise if Samyuktha decides to stop putting up with his behaviour. Abhimanyu has anger issues and is easily manipulated by the wicked Sharmila. Mixing the two characteristics together, the worst side often comes out and it is too much for Samyuktha to manage.

Let us not forget the fact that the duo are still under couple therapy and their marriage was saved from breaking down at one of these counselling sessions. Though the couple loves each other, it is often hard for Samyuktha to put up with Abhi’s behaviour. However, it is possible that Abhi gets put off by the fact that his wife now favours Ashokan, his enemy. Add some harsh words from Sharmila, and it won’t be long until we see Abhimanyu turn against Samyuktha in doubt. The duo’s marriage seems to be acting up like a ticking time bomb lately, and we can only wait and watch how they react to the happenings.
