R Madhavan is making headlines these days, as he has moved to Dubai with his wife Sunita to support his son, who is currently preparing for Olympics 2026. He found out the other reason to be in headlines as he has roasted the famous writer Chetan Bhagat on Twitter. The scene started when the writer posed something and the actor came out with a quirky response.
Speaking in detail about it, well-known writer Chetan Bhagat tweeted in retort to a question on movies vs. books. He in his tweet wrote, “My books, and the movies based on them.” R Madhavan quickly replied to it by saying that he preferred books. To which Chetan replied, “Have you ever heard anyone ever say the movie is better than the book?”
The comment battle does not end here! It continues as R Madhavan writes, “YES! 3 Idiots” in response. For an unversed, the film starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi was based on the book Five Point Someone written by Chetan Bhagat. Further, Chetan questioned Madhavan not to try to preach to the choir. Soon, the actor asked the writer why he performed in the film that was released digitally if he was partisan towards books.

This battle continues on Twitter as they both were unstoppable to give fiery responses to each other. Soon, the Twitter users got to know that this battle on Twitter was nothing but a promotion deed for their new show that was released on a digital platform. In the series, actor R Madhavan portrays India’s second-best-selling author and is often pockmarked against author Chetan, who plays himself, in the series.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, R Madhavan has been a part of several blockbuster films like 3 Idiots, Rehnas Hai Terre Dil Mein. Now, he will be seen in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect that is about to release soon.
