He complimented the filmmaker for creating such a classic film, but he had no idea what was about to happen.
Subhash Ghai was so taken with his act that he offered him a signed blank cheque and told him, Snigdhajit, my blessings are with you. He believes that the early stages, when everyone is struggling, are crucial, and he is certain that no one here at the start hasn’t struggled to get to this point. After hearing from him, he was hugely affected, and he proceeded to present him a check. He didn’t write a figure and told him he could write whatever he wanted.
Neelanjana passionately reproduced Lata Mangeshkar’s song ‘Bada Dukh Dina O Ramji’ during this special show. Subhash Ghai was so pleased by the contestant’s spellbinding performance that he granted her a contract.

Subhash Ghai said on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that Neelanjana sang brilliantly and that she seemed to be reliving the song. He had the impression that Lata Ji was humming the song, and her delivery was excellent. He then asked her to come to his office and told that an agreement for her to perform as a singer would be available soon. These generous acts by the director took everyone by surprise as well as delight.
