SCOOP: Ranveer Singh To Essay Raavan In The Movie Sita

In the upcoming movie of KV Vijayendra Prasad called Sita, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Raavan. He has accepted his role and soon will be seen in this mythological drama.

The movie Sita is one of the upcoming mythological movies whose casting is yet to be complete. The film is not just the tale of Ramayan. The story of the movie will be special because it will be shown from the point of view of Sita instead of Ram. The makers approached Ranveer Singh for the role of the villain Raavan. He is said to have loved the script and has said yes to it. Previously, we have seen Ranveer Singh play the dark character of Allaudin Khilji in Padmaavat and he was praised a lot for the role. For the role of Sita, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been approached by the makers. Both the actresses seem to have liked the script a lot, but it is yet to be confirmed as to who will be seen in the movie playing the titular role.

There are many mythological dramas that are set to release in the near future. The list includes Aadipurush by Om Raut which is based on Ramayan and will feature Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. Deepika Padukone will also be seen in a mythological drama called Draupadi. She is also cast for a role in the movie Ramayan alongside Mahesh Babu. It will be interesting to see how these movies will be different from each other even though they are derived from the same source.
