Watch: Sonu Sood Aims To Feed More Than 45,000 People Daily In Mumbai

Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Soon is known for helping the needy. He is known as a messiah in the country. The actor has now vowed to feed the poor and needy affected by coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has now tied up with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to reach out to those who need help. Read on to know the actor’s initiative during the pandemic.

Sonu Sood has aimed to feed more than 45,000 people in Mumbai 

Sonu Sood has been offering food to over 45,000 people in Andheri, Jogeshwari, Juhu and Bandra in Mumbai. He stated that many people have been blessed with food and shelter during these tough times. However, they are many people who cannot have even a single meal in a day. In order to help them, he has started a special food and ration drive called Shakti Annadanam which he named after his father. He mentioned that he hoped to help as many people as he can.

Before this, he had given his hotel to the doctors and nurses in Mumbai and other paramedical staff so that they should stay there till they battle the pandemic. The actor also said that it’s important for people to stand strongly with all the medical staff in the country. He called them real heroes who have been fighting COVID-19 for more than a year now. He mentioned that it was his honour to be able to do his bit for all the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who have been working all day all night to save millions of lives in the country.

He was recently spotted outside his residence talking to a few people who were in need. They came a long way just to talk to the actor and ask for help. He even treated the paparazzi with food and juices. He mentioned that he wanted to hug them all and was happy to see them but couldn’t do so.
