Raghob gets a doctor to see Dwarika. The doctor gives him an injection to bring down his fever and make him conscious but warns that his depression could prove fatal. Later, Gadadhar prays to Ma Kali asks her to stop the injustice being done to Kumudini. When the lamps and the `yagna’ fire at Rudreshwar’s prayer site goes out, everyone is shocked. But Rudreshwar refuses to accept defeat and lights a camphor on the palm of his hand with his `mantra’. Gadadhar warns him that he will lose all his powers if he misuses them. But confident of abilities Rudreshwar tells Gadadhar he will light the lamps again with his powers and prove him wrong. This time however, his `mantras’ and rituals don’t work and the lamps don’t light up. Rudreshwar then challenges Gadadhar to light up the lamps.

Dwarika refuses to believe a word of what Nagen says and asks Kumudini what the trust is. When Kumudini remains silent, Padma decides to put her hand over the Lakshmi `kalash’ and tell the truth. Kumudini admits she is from Shonaberi’s Saha family and was set to marry Dwarika. But before her engagement to him she was kidnapped by dacoits. Dwarika is shocked to hear this while Padma feels bad luck will descend on the family. Later, Kumudini tells Dwarika she did not tell him as she feared he would disown her. Dwarika feels hurt that she didn’t trust him. Later, Padma tells Kumudini that she must spend the night in the guest room and leave the house in the morning.

Gadadhar performs Maa Durga’s Sandhi Puja aarti dressed as a woman. After the `aarti’ Dwarika and Trilokya have a fight about Gadadhar’s attire. Trilokya tells Dwarika to stop Gadadhar from doing such `sadhanas’ in future. Gadadhar tells him that it is not their place to judge a great `sadhak’ like Gadadhar and tells Trilokya to refrain from interfering in the temple’s affairs. Padma feels bad seeing the brothers fighting and speaks of their childhood days when they wore matching clothes. Hearing this, Kumudini gets an idea. She decides to crease the shirt sleeves of all the brothers with the gila fruit’s seeds so that the clothes match. She tells Dwarika not to fight with his brother over Gadadhar but also asks him to ensure Gadadhar is not thrown out of his house.

A little boy who called Ram Lala meets Gadadhar at the temple and hugs him. He then plays a prank and opens Haran Thakur’s `dhoti’. However, no one other than Gadadhar can see him and everyone including Sarada thinks Gadadhar has gobe crazy. Later at the Radha-Krishna temple the boy appears again before Gadadhar and eats up the `payesh’ offered to the lord as `bhog’. Everyone is surprised when they see the empty bowl.

When Gadadhar expressed his desire to experience maternal love towards a deity, Ma Kali blessed him that he will soon experience it. Next day, an ascetic comes with an idol of Ram Lala to Gadadhar and says he wants milk for his child Ram Lala. Gadadhar is surprised to see him treat his idol of Ram Lala like a living child. Later, the idol of Ram Lala drinks up all the milk offered to him when Gadadhar affectionately requests him to drink it. Everyone is amazed to see this miracle. Ram Lala then refuses to leave the temple and Gadadhar asks the ascetic to stay there.

Kumudini wants to tell Dwarika everything about her past but is interrupted by Annada and Kamala and is unable to do so. However, Dwarika tells her he does not care about her family background. Next day, Dwarika calls a photographer to the Janbazzar house to click portrait pictures of the young couples and tells them about a new gadget called the camera. At the temple, a drunk landlord called Ambikacharan walks in and says Gadadhar has promised his wife Jogen that he will make him give up alcohol. Gadadhar welcomes him and says they will get intoxicated together.

Kumudini wins the ring game, though Kamala feels Dwarika let her win it. For `Kalratri’, Dwarika comes to Kumudini’s room to take his clothes and finds her jewellery scattered across the bed. He fears Padma may see the scattered jewellery and get angry and tries to wake up Kumudini. Kumudini wakes up and starts screaming thinking it’s a thief. She inadvertently sees Dwarika’s face. Trilokya says this could bring ill fortune on the family. When Kumudini worries about this, Annada tells her to pray to Ma Kali.

Dwarika and Kumudini get married before the sacred fire and Dwarika takes her to his Janbazzar home. However, Padma who is the head of the family after her mother’s death refuses to perform the welcoming ritual and asks Dwarika to take her and leave. Annada performs the ritual and welcomes Kumudini but says she must take Ramchandra and Padma’s blessings.

Dwarika asks about Kumudini after regaining consciousness. He tells Kamala and Annada that he has married Kumudini and asks them to give Jagadamba the news. He decides to go look for her.

Dwarika goes to rescue Kumudini from Nagen Chowdhury’s house and ends up marrying her. Nagen’s men attack Dwarika and he loses consciousness. Raghob takes him to Gadadhar as he has seen him perform miracles. Gadadhar prays to Ma Kali.
