Bombay High Court has finally taken back the two FIRs that were registered by Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff and her lawyer against Sahil Khan. Style fame actor Sahil Khan was alleged by Ayesha Shroff’s lawyer over matters of cheating criminal intimidation- a business dispute in 2015. Justice SS Shinde and NJ Jamadar quashed the two FIRs which were registered by the Bandra police and after that Sahil’s lawyer and Ayesha clarified to the court that they had settled the dispute between them unitedly.Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff mentioned to a leading publication that she and Sahil Khan had settled the business dispute off the court and they had done so, five years ago. The issue came into the spotlight because the court quashed the FIRs today on September 16. However, she felt that the court should have dealt with the entire issue a long time ago. She added that it was the court procedures that took time, but, like they say, legal proceedings always take time, so it did here as well.
Ayesha Shroff further mentioned that she cannot reveal any reasons why she took the steps of withdrawal or why she filed the complaint in the first place against actor Sahil Khan because she has signed an MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) with Sahil Khan and the formal document doesn’t allow her to speak things publicly and keep things confidential. Ayesha also revealed that she had also raised an issue of non-payment of dues by Khan worth over Rs 4 crore in her complaint but now she has decided to completely withdraw the FIRs.
The court has concluded and has decided to listen to both parties and have officially settled the case saying that it stemmed because of a non-pivotal business dispute. The court, however, has levied a cost of Rs 1 lakh on Khan and said the money will go to the Maharashtra child welfare committee for the welfare of children under the state’s care.
