TVF Tripling On ZEE5: Did You Know Actor Sumeet Vyas Turned Writer For This Show?

Sumeet Vyas is one of the best actors that we have today. Whether it is a romantic role, a comic one, or a negative role, Sumeet Vyas excels in all of them. His performance as Yudi in Dark 7 White, is truly noteworthy. But did you know, his talents lie even beyond acting? Sumeet Vyas is also a genius when it comes to writing, and you will see that in his mini web series, TVF Tripling.

TVF’s Tripling is a mini web series of five episodes each in both of its seasons. It stars Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, and Amol Parashar in the lead roles, with Kunaal Roy Kapur, Kumud Mishra, and Shernaz Patel playing supporting roles. The show revolves around the story of three siblings, who have lost touch over time and find their bond again when they venture out on a road trip together.

Tripling, which got a lot of love from the audiences, is written by Akarsh Khurana and Sumeet Vyas. That’s right, Sumeet Vyas is a co-writer of the series, of both its seasons. He had also written and directed a short film before Tripling titled Haircut. The first season of Tripling was released in 2016 and the second season in 2019.

The story of Tripling season 1 began when Chandan (Sumeet Vyas), who is divorced, comes to meet his younger brother, Chitvan (Amol Parashar), after years. Chitvan, who is trying to run from the people he has taken a lot of debt from, takes him to Jodhpur, to meet their sister Chanchal (Maanvi Gagroo), who has married into a royal family. After some commotion and disagreements in the royal household, Chanchal runs away with her brothers, and together, the three go on a long road trip, where they learn about each other’s lives.

The second season, also written by Sumeet Vyas and Akarsh Khurana, starts directly after the events of the first season. Now, Chandan is an author and has written a book about the first season’s events, which is also being made into a movie. While Chitvan is overjoyed about the entire thing, Chanchal is upset because the book and its forthcoming film have caused another commotion in her royal family.

Sumeet Vyas and Akarsh Khurana won the Asian Television Award for Best Scriptwriting For Web Programme/Series, for Tripling season 1. Tripling has a special place in the hearts of its audience and is one of the most well-written and well-directed series that you will quickly connect to.
