Sweetu’s mother Nalu has always been concerned over Sweetu being overweight. Many times she has mentioned it to Shaku worrying about Sweetu’s future. However, on the other side, there’s Shaku who never misses a chance to appreciate Sweetu. And Shaku’s appreciation is not limited just to her inner beauty. She also makes it a point that Sweetu being overweight does not reduce her true beauty.

Sweetu As The Sunbai

Shaku had accepted Sweetu as her daughter-in-law ever since she realized her kind and genuine personality. She even went to the Salvis approaching them with Omkar’s marriage proposal. But Salvis had different plans and so she restricted herself. Recently, when Om confessed to Shaku about his true feelings for Sweetu, she was happier than ever. Shaku referring to Sweetu as “Sunbai” is one of the reasons to believe she’ll make for a great mother-in-law.

Shaku Gifts Sweetu The Family Bangles

Earlier, Shaku had gifted the family bangles of Khanvilkars to Sweetu. However, Malavika later snatched it away and gave the same to Momo. Realizing Momo’s disrespectful behaviour towards family traditions, Shaku urged Omkar and Rocky to make sure that the bangles get back in Sweetu’s hands. After which, Om and Rocky forged a plan to hand the bangles again to Sweetu.

Going Against Malavika

Remember when Salvis visited the Khanvilkar house and Malavika created a scene. She went on to insult each and every member of the Salvi family including Sweetu. However, we saw Shaku raising her voice against Malavika for the first time. She also made sure that Malavika apologizes to all of them. Also, many times lying to Malavika, Shaku visited Ambernath just to meet Sweetu.

Sweetu’s Return At The Khanvilkar House

After getting taunted by Malavika several times, Nalu finally decided to take Sweetu back to Ambernath. Sweetu left the Khanvilkar house and stayed there for a while. Sweetu’s absence not only saddened Omkar but also made Shaku restless. After which, she went along with Rocky and Om to get Sweetu back to the Khanvilkar house.
