Indravadhan, who learns that the English government and his uncle have levied taxes on the water that the farmers are using for cultivating crops, gives the same news to Rajmata. Indravadhan's uncle declares that Indravadhan is blaming him for a reason that he is not responsible for. Rajamata tells Indravadhan that she did not know anything about this as she was only asked to sign the papers. Indravadhana consoles his mother saying that now he is here and will solve the issues. To cope with the loss of fortune faced, he marries Gayatri Seth (Drashti Dhami), the daughter of the state's biggest moneylender, Gopal Seth.
