7 Times TV Characters Resurrected From Death Like Pragya In Kumkum Bhagya

Characters in TV serials always seem to have the superpower to evade fatal accidents and return back to the plot in fine health. In many shows, the same strategy has been applied to bring prime characters back into the story thereby introducing a twist that will be engaging for the audience. Zee shows also witnessed such narratives where many characters returned from death to seek their “revenge”. To name a few, here are some of the Zee TV characters who have resurrected from death and returned to the show in full health.

Bani in Kasamh Se

In the popular serial Kasamh Se, Bani (Prachi) and Jai Walia (Ram Kapoor) were separated in many instances but in one of the episodes Meera, Jai’s second wife reveals that she was the person who created problems between Bani and Jai. After this, she sets Bani on fire and she then falls off the cliff and is presumed dead by the Walia family. Later it is revealed that she was saved by a man called Partho Mitra and due to this incident, she suffers from amnesia.

Pragya in Kumkum Bhagya

Pragya (Sriti Jha) in Kumkum Bhagya is also one of the characters who resurrected back from death. In an episode, Tanu (Leena Jumani) reveals that she is pregnant with Abhi’s (Shabir Ahluwalia) child and produces a fake DNA report to prove her claim. Pragya does not believe her and investigates the matter and finds out that the child is actually Nikhil’s. Before she can reveal the truth she meets with an accident and is declared dead. The show then takes a leap of 20 days and we see that Pragya is not dead and she arrives back in Mehra house to seek revenge from her wrongdoers.

There was another instance when her character attempts suicide by jumping off a cliff. When Abhi blames her for Dadi’s death, she’s not able to handle his accusations and hence decides to kill herself. However, the show then takes a leap of seven years and Pragya is seen in the UK with King Singh.

Kalindi in Brahmarakshas 2

In Brahmarakshas 2, Kalindi (Nikki Sharma) faces Brahmarakshas in order to save Robin from the clutches of the demon. She succeeds in killing Brahmarakshas but due to an unfortunate incident she loses her life too. The show then takes a two-year gap and it is revealed that Kalindi is alive. Not only her, but we also get to see her twin sister Chandni, in the show.

Kalyani in Tujhse Hai Raabta

In an episode of Tujhse Hai Raabta, Moksh is kidnapped by Trilok and he threatens to release him only if they leave Divya. In this chaos, the van Moksh and Divya are in blasts and catches fire. Kalyani (Reem Shaikh) and Malhar (Sehban Azim) see the accident and get shocked. When Kalyani repeatedly says that Malhar was responsible for Moksh’s death, he in a fit of rage shoots Kalyani and she falls off a cliff. The show then takes a five-year leap and it is revealed that Kalyani is alive and has now become the District Magistrate of the area.

Sampada in Tujhse Hai Raabta

Kalyani’s sister Sampada also suffers the same fate as Kalyani’s but this time it was intentional. Sampada splashes petrol on Kalyani and tries to kill her but instead burns herself. In the next episode, it is revealed that it was Kalyani and Sampada’s plan to expose Atharva. They take advantage of the situation and scare Atharv to reveal the truth.

Guddan in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega

In Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Guddan (Kanika Mann) and Akshat (Nishant Singh Malkhani) spend a romantic night together and consummate their marriage but after knowing about the death of his brother Angad, he is angered and he ends up shooting Guddan in a fit of rage. Guddan falls off the cliff and is presumed dead. The show takes a leaf of a month and it is revealed that Guddan is alive in a nearby village.

Shruti in Kohi Apna Sa

In Kohi Apna Sa, Shruti (Narayani Shastri) is arrested by the police for the death of her husband Tushar. Her friends are told the police van she was in met with an accident and Shruti is declared dead. Years later it is revealed that Shruti survived the accident and she comes back to seek revenge for her husband’s death and her false arrest as Mallika, the role then played by Smita Bansal.
