As per the sources, R Madhavan was in a pickle after being offered parts in both My Name Is Khan and 3 Idiots. Initially, Madhavan was offered the role of Zakir Khan, which was played by Jimmy Shergill. However, the actor was preparing for his role as Farhan Qureshi in 3 Idiots at the time.
Because the release dates for both films clashed, the actor had to drop his role as Zakir Khan in My Name Is Khan. Jimmy Shergill was eventually cast in the role.
Recently, the actor has had nothing but praise for Hrithik Roshan. The actor stated in a recent interview that he wants to do “all the kinds of films” that the War actor does. His remarks came just days after he made a gracious remark about Hrithik’s first look in Vikram Vedha‘s Hindi remake. He said he has a lot of respect for him. Both of them started at the same time. Even now, he has the appearance of a Greek god and performs incredible stunts. But just wishing for it isn’t going to help me. To be able to star alongside Katrina Kaif, He further added he needs to be as fit as he is.
