After Mother’s Demise, Akshay Kumar Returns To Work; Actor To Fly To The UK To Resume Cinderella Shoot- Reports

Akshay Kumar who lost his mother Aruna Bhatia on September 8 is going to resume his work now. Aruna Bhatia was hospitalized on September 3 in a hospital in Mumbai as she was in a critical condition. When Akshay Kumar heard that his mother was hospitalized he was in London shooting for a project. He immediately rushed to Mumbai to be near his mother. Now, the actor has decided to move on and is looking forward to resuming his work.

According to the Pinkvilla report, Akshay Kumar will be jetting off to the UK today for the shoot of his next directed by Ranjit Tewari. The film is backed by Jackky Bhagnani. A source close to the actor informed Pinkvilla, “Akshay is a thorough professional and believes in the saying that the show must go on. He also understands the gravity of the financial scenario when the film shoots are put on hold, especially in tough times like the on-going pandemic – since 100s of people are involved in the production team and crew.”

The same report further adds, “He was with his mother in her last few days, performed all the rituals over the last couple of days, and is now all ready to resume work. He will be taking off to the UK tomorrow morning and will resume shooting after following the quarantine guidelines of the local authorities.”

The filming of Ranjit Tewari directorial film will go on throughout September. Along with Akshay Kumar the film will have Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role. The film is touted to be a psychological thriller. Talking about his other projects, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan and Atrangi Re. In Atrangi Re, he will be seen sharing screen space with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. Besides that, he also has Ram Setu and Prithviraj in his pipeline. Rakshabandhan will feature him along with Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. The actor is also awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. Akshay Kumar also has ‘Bachchan Pandey’ co-starring Kriti Sanon in his kitty.
