Alo Chhaya: Guess who had stolen the evidence against Baban from Akash all along?

In the latest Zee Bangla TV serial Alo Chhaya, the lead character Alo (played by Debadrita Basu) is taken up with exposing the misdeeds and crimes of Pratik aka Baban, her brother-in-law. Even though she has the full support of her husband Akash (played by Arnab Banerjee), Alo’s determined investigations have drawn the wrath of several of the Sengupta family members, including her own best friend Chhaya (played by Oindrila Bose), who has married Baban!

Meanwhile, Baban continues to wreak havoc and spin lots of lies to turn everyone against Alo. The closest we had got to seeing this monster get exposed was when Alo and Akash had managed to get their hands on ample concrete evidence against him, by a stroke of luck. However, this bit of fortune was not enough to see them through. Alo and Akash had kept these incriminating video footage and documents of Baban cleverly concealed inside Akash’s guitar in their bedroom.

Later, when they went to retrieve it and show everybody, they found that it was missing! Of course, someone (perhaps Baban?) had been spying on them and had stolen them! Recently, we saw that Akash found a gemstone and a glove in his guitar. He tried to find out who it belongs to, and we learn that they are Tirthankar Sengupta’s– his own dad!

Previously, we had even suspected Chhaya of covering up for Baban as she often does, and the possibility that she had stolen the stuff did creep into our minds. But what if it had been Tirthankar Sengupta all along? What are the odds that the patriarch would go to such lengths to protect the family from disrepute and secretly covering for Baban?

On closer inspection however, we find out that those weren’t Tirthankar Sengupta’s gemstones at all, but perhaps an attempt to make it look that way! Who could have done such a bizarre thing as to implicate the main man whose own reputation and brand is stake? Well, Baban, of course. We can’t stop wondering when this heinous young villain will finally get his comeuppance.
