Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are always seen standing by each other in good times and bad. Virat Kohli has been inundated with well wishes and congratulations since announcing his decision to step down as Test captain. Anushka Sharma, Kohli’s better-half, wrote an emotional post for her husband on Sunday, in which she revealed Kohli, who is known to share a strong bond with Dhoni, how former Indian captain MS Dhoni reacted after Kohli was given the Test captaincy.

Virat Kohli surprised fans when he announced that he would be stepping down as Test captain on January 15, 2020. Shortly after India’s series loss to South Africa, the cricketer started on Instagram. After MS Dhoni announced his retirement in 2014, Anushka remembered the day Virat was given the responsibility of leading the Test team in her note.

In her most recent Instagram post, she shared a photo of Virat Kohli and wrote about how she has watched his hair turn grey since he became the Indian cricket team’s Test captain. Anushka Sharma reflected on Virat Kohli’s journey in the post, writing, ‘She remembers the day in 2014 when he told me he has been appointed as captain because MS had decided to retire from test cricket.” Later that day, MS, and he himself and I were talking, and he joked about how quickly your beard would start to grey.
