Bhagyashree was a popular Bollywood actor back in the early 90’s. She rose to fame after she starred in the film Maine Pyaar Kiya, opposite actor Salman Khan. She made her debut with the film and soon became a household name. Almost 31 years later the film still holds a special place in their fans’ hearts. Bhagyashree was only 19 when she starred in the film and soon became the audience’s favourite. However, Bhagyashree broke her fans’ hearts when she left the Bollywood industry and settled down with her husband.

Bhagyashree married her longtime boyfriend Himalaya Dasani in the year 1987, even before her first film released. She knew Himalaya Dasani since her childhood and eloped from her house at a young age, to get married to him. After she married Himalaya Dasani, Bhagyashree put conditions in front of filmmakers that she will only star in films with her real-life husband. While many filmmakers agreed to her condition, many did not agree to her condition. This brought in hurdles in her film career.

During an interview, Bhagyashree herself admitted that her marriage shocked everyone and her fans also saw her husband with envy. Moreover, many of her fans also abused her husband because she was married to him and almost quit her Bollywood career. Bhagyashree is currently 51 years old and is quite happy in her life. Her children are quite grown up and wish to make a Bollywood career too. On the work front, Bhagyashree is all set to make a comeback to Bollywood with Kangana Ranaut’s film Thalaivi. She will be seen in the role of Kangana Ranaut’s mother in the film. Bhagyashree will also star in Prabhas’ film Radhe Shyam, alongside actor Pooja Hegde.
